PHYSICS
The department of Physics is one of the first departments to be started in this college in the year 1980. The academic and research activities have been actively carrying out in the department .The V.T.U sanctioned research and development center to the department beside sanctioning Rupees 8.71 Lakhs for research project entitled “Optical and thermodynamically Investigations on some conventional Liquid Crystals “ under V.T.U research grant scheme. Currently Four candidates have been registered for Ph.D. programme through department R&D centre under the guidance of Dr. K.Fakruddin Professor and HoD Physics .To upgrade the knowledge the faculty members have attended conferences and seminars in and outside the college .
1. Dr.K.Fakruddin is the Principal Investigator for Research Project of Rs. 8.7 Lakhs funded by VTU under Research Grant Scheme.
2. Dr.K.Fakruddin nominated as VTU Local Inquiry Committee Member for the Academic Year.
3. Dr.K.Fakruddin nominated as Member Board of Examiners V T U.
4. Dr.K.Fakruddin nominated as Member Board of Studies (Physics) V T U Belagavi.
5. The department faculty members have published 21 research papers in peer reviewed journals.
6. Dr.K.Fakruddin Professor and HoD Physics delivered 11 invited lectures in reputed Institutions.
