The Department of Computer science and engineering started in the year 1986, with the total intake of 60 students, now the intake has been increased to 90. The department has dedicated teaching and non teaching faculty.
The present students’ strength is about 283.
The department has been accredited twice by National
Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The department
has eight separate computer laboratories, well equipped with modern computers, printers, scanners and UPS. The department library has good collection of prescribed books.
The faculty members of the department
have published research papers, in several reputed
international journals, conferences and in national
conference held at different places.

Mission of the Department
provide state of the art of teaching, learning in
software and hardware programmes to the students to
enable them to become world-class Computer Science &
Engineering graduates to face global competition.
Our graduates will apply the fundamentals and knowledge
to design, implement and manage IT solutions to meet an
organizationís goals and to face the professional
competition and achieve excellence.
Our graduates will develop skill and ability to function
with a sound foundation in engineering fundamentals
necessary to adapt and contribute to new technologies in
support of IT infrastructure, and also succeed in their
career and/or obtain an advanced degree.
Our graduates will successfully function in
multi-disciplinary teams and prepare for written and
oral communication with high standard of professional
and ethical responsibilities with practical knowledge,
positive attitude, sense of responsibility and strong
